PM Oath taking ceremony process in India
PM Narendra Modi has taken oath in India in the oath-taking ceremony. It is also called by the name of swearing-in ceremony, which is the formal procedure of coming into terms again in the Indian parliament. The PM has to take four oaths in the ceremony, and it is accompanied by swearing-in by President of India, Vice-President of India, Union Council of Ministers of India along with Prime Minister and Chief Justice from High court or Supreme Court.
The ceremony takes place when a new person comes to power in the Lok Sabha position after the election results. The Prime Minister is elected from the winning party. In this case, Narendra Modi continues to be the PM following the elections. However, in the oath-taking ceremony, both the PM, along with the Council of Ministers, will take up their offices and charges under the Union government.
The oath ceremony is administered by the Indian President, and both Union Ministers and Prime minister take charge in front of the Indian President. The ceremony is arranged at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Invitees come from different places all over the world to witness this grand ceremony.
The oath taken both by Union Ministers and Prime Minister is of two parts. In the first part, it is all about confirming the elected candidate’s faith in the Indian constitution. It also asserts that the person would act according to what has been stated in the Indian constitution. In addition, the person also takes the oath of discharging the best of given duties to him and would maintain both integrity and honesty and think about the welfare of the nation.
In the second part, the oath is all about working according to the commitment. It should safeguard all vital information and secrets within the office. The person nominated in position swears in the name of God that he or she will work with faith and allegiance for the Indian constitution as has been established by law. In addition to this, the person will uphold the integrity and sovereignty of the country. By this, the person means that he will be faithfully towards his duties. In addition, the person will complete his responsibilities with the utmost importance and care. The person will work as Minister of Union, and he will try to take the right decision for people in every condition as per the constitutional laws and rules. The person should not take anyone’s favor or get involved in any ill practices.

The person elected swears in the name of God that he or she will not disclose any matter indirectly or directly to any person. They can also reveal the information relating to the discharge of duties as a Minister of Union.
Why is the oath ceremony considered important?
The oath ceremony or swearing ceremony is an important and prestigious one in India. Arrangement in the supervision of the constitution of India, the main event of the ceremony is the formal way to affirm the elected person and his commitment to his newly elected position. The person would swear that he or she will work for the welfare of the whole nation. Therefore, the elected person will become a stakeholder in administering the government that will, in turn, work for the good of the mass.

With the results of 16th Lok Sabha elections, the procedure of new government formation has already started. Along with this, Prime Minister also resigned along with his Union Cabinet. After the victory of the existing PM, a certificate has been given to Narendra Modi by five legislators of Varanasi district. It also includes two MLCs and President of BJP from Varanasi. This has been done for the legendary win of Narendra Modi. With this, Modi took responsibility for the work that has been in halt for long with the coming of Lok Sabha elections.
